Key Stage 4
At Hope Academy we believe in stage, rather than age – basing the rate of a pupil’s progress on their readiness rather than their age.
This means that many of our students will be able to progress to follow GCSE /Level 2 programmes in Year 9, rather than waiting until Year10. Students will begin a range of core subjects including English, Maths, Sciences and ICT in Year 9, before adding a range of further subjects at the start of Year 10. Pupils will have access to a wide range of options.
The curriculum will include:

Choice of one or two Modern Foreign Languages |

A range of options in Technology based subjects. |

A wide range of choice in both GCSE and Vocational subjects. |

In addition many pupils will also have the option of starting A level studies in Year 11, or look to improve their grades if necessary. |
In the new year all year 9 pupils will be invited to an options evening. |
